With more than 20 years of pet sitting experience, I provide compassionate in-home attention for pets, knowledgeable care for your plants, and thoughtful keeping of your home while you're away.
Rather than disrupting your pets' routines (and breaking your heart a little) by boarding them, I stay in your home so they can remain comfortable in the environment they know and love.
My goal is simple: to give you complete peace of mind while you're away.
What You Can Expect
When I care for your home and pets, I bring my own groceries, I clean up after myself, and I keep the house tidy and maintained.
I like to know what kind of appliances I can use—fridge, freezer, stove, teapot, oven, microwave, waster and dryer, vacuum, blender for smoothies—so I know how to plan my meals and keep the space tidy. I also need to know where I can sleep and shower.
Upon booking, I’ll need the emergency information for your pets—their names, any medication or supplements they take, what vet you use, who a local emergency contact would be, how to reach you in an emergency, and what vet hospital you would use after hours. Feel free to provide any other information you think I would need, too, like pet rules—who is or isn’t allowed on the couch, bed, counters. 🙂

Meet Denice
Hi! I'm Denice, lover of dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, houseplants, and the occasional silly goat.
I've been caring for animals for more than 20 years, and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that you have to work to earn an animal’s trust. Dogs usually decide whether we/re friends within about thirty seconds. Treats and belly scratches help. Cats take a little longer, but I consider it a great personal triumph when one eventually chooses to greet me when I arrive. Bonus points if they choose to sleep next to me.
When I'm caring for your pets, I don't just show up to fill a food bowl and disappear. I become part of their routine. We'll go for walks, play fetch, patrol the yard, discuss which squirrels are the biggest troublemakers, exchange secrets, and generally make sure the pets are happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away.
I also understand that your pets aren't the only living things that matter. Need someone to water the ferns, rescue the peace lily that's being dramatic again, bring in packages, keep an eye on the house, or make sure everything is exactly as you left it (0r better)? I've got you covered.
Over the years I've shared my life with a delightful assortment of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and goats. I've cared for seniors, blind dogs, deaf dogs, goofy dogs. I’ve administered medications, handled special needs, and comforted anxious pets who really miss their people—and anxious people who really miss their pets.
My goal is simple: I want you to enjoy your trip knowing your pets are safe, your home is cared for, your plants are thriving, and someone trustworthy is there if anything unexpected happens.
In short, I'm the neighbor you wish you had, and quite possibly your dog's new best friend.
Pricing
Overnight in-home care starts at $70 per day.
Additional pets:
$10 per additional dog
$5 per additional cat
Additional charges may apply for special needs pets, extensive plant rehabilitation, or greater medication needs
Charges for other types of pets will be determined on a case-by-case basis
Weekly Rate:
20% off regular rate.
A 25% non-refundable deposit via Venmo, PayPal or Zelle is required to reserve dates.
Drop-in appointments are only available if I am already booked for an in-home stay in your area during the time of drop-in. Cost will depend on location, length of visit, tasks needed, and number of pets.
